Blog Post 3

Peer editing occurs when you make suggestions, comments, and changes to someone your own age. In "What is Peer editing?" there are three important steps. First, you need to compliment something they did well. Second, make some suggestion like details, word choice, and topics. Finally, is editing correction by checking spelling and punctuation.

After reviewing "Peer Edit with Perfection Tutorial" I really enjoyed this slideshow. I like how I can observe the slideshow with my own pace. Also, I am a visual learner and these slides are very detailed and goes right to the point."Writing Peer Review Top 10 Mistakes" does a great job of what people should not do. By being mean, pushy, defensive, loud speedy, and so many others is not going help other students. In fact, it will hurt them emotionally.

  1. The slideshow helped me out alot too! Being able to read it at your own pace was something I liked about it. The step that you post are definitely a good way to peer edit a classmate's paper. You should be nice about it and not rude because it can make someone get their feelings hurt. Giving compliments first will help someone feel better about themselves instead of being rude and just point out all the mistakes straight up. Being rude about it can make someone feel like they are not good at writing papers and also make them feel that they did so badly.

  3. You're still not adding working links to your post or alt/title modifiers to your pictures. You need to do this! They are required for every blog post!
